Mr. Kurosawa

About 2-3 weeks ago, Tere, Roly and I meet up with Tri at Eastwood. We were supposed to watch sneak preview of "The Proposal” but the traffic from Makati to Libis was crazy and we ended up having dinner at the new Eastwood mall. There were several restaurants to choose from but dined at Mr. Kurosawa.

Mr. Kurosawa offers Euro-Japanese cuisine and the latest addition to Sumo Sam chain of establishments. Interior/style is a combination that of John and Yoko and Marciano.
I just ♥ theitr ceiling artwork...

Just like John and Yoko, they have extensive menu... Steak, pizza, pasta, sushi, salad and more; He're the 1st page of their Menu:

Eastwood Sashimi. P288.00 - Sashimi platter with a twist. Tuna topped with Jalapeno, Salmon and raw squid with gravy like sauce in the middle, were served fresh, although we didnt finish the squid.

Beef Teppan.P358. - I have to rave on this, their beef teppan was so tender and juicy, one of the best I chunks I had in years.

Japanese Fried rice.P178 - It comes in big size , prolly good for 4, nothing really special about it.
Ebi Tempura. P368- 5 pieces regular size Tempura, served hot.

Dynamite roll. P178. Spicy maki rolls topped with salmon and fish skin and some spice.
Crunchy Tuna Roll. P189. Tuna sushi topped with Tuna bits and tempura flakes cruncher.

I liked my dining experience at Mr. Kurosawa, although I think it's John and Yoko of the North.

That's all!

Red Mango FRO-YO

I've started my Fro-mance after tasting Red Mango's Fro-yo (frozen Yogurt). I first tried it in Megamall with my sister... and somewhat craving for it from time to time... There are variety of toppings to choose from, each cost P.20.

A small cup of original yogurt cost P.80 ... Their Yogurt is consistently creamy and velvety, so far the best froyo I've tasted in Manila.

It's kinda effort but to go to Megamall , Trinoma and Libis.... I can't wait for Red Mango Greenbelt 3 to open...

That's All!

Red Mango is @ Eastwood mall, Megamall and Trinoma

Goodbye Tita Cory Aquino

Cory C. Aquino

Shot from the top taken from my humble cell phone camera (SE K800i); Inside our Makati Office.

People queue up forming a human chain along Ayala corner Buendia.

A truck full of yellow flowers with Tita Cory inside the coffin wrapped with Philippine flag which symbolizes National importance.

Countrymen mourning....

Touching event, I've seen rain of confetti and heard nationalistic music ...

Goodbye and thank you tita Cory... May you rest in peace.

... She's in Manila Cathedral now and will be buried at the Manila Memorial Park on Wednesday August 5, 2009 (a non working holiday) beside his husband Ninoy Aquino.

Manila Ocean Park and Fish SPA

The Manila Ocean Park is an oceanarium; a new tourist attraction in Manila. It claims to be the largest oceanarium in Asia. It showcases over 400 species of marine life.

Aside from oceanarium, the park have strip of boutiques , restaurants and marine-themed hotel (which is still under construction).

Close encounter with fish without getting wet
Admission rates: Php400.00 for Adults, Php350.00 for Children

Avail 1 hour fish Spa for additional Php200. I can't help but laugh as those small creatures stick close... Ha-Ha! Hee-Hee! the sound of laughter reigned while doctor fish(as they called them) was nibbling the dead skin of my feet. Does it really works? I'm not sure but my feet feels squeaky clean after plus I really think it's a nice laughter theraphy.
