My friend introduced me to a place in Retiro named Shanghai hand-pulled noodles.
Interior was quite simple. Orange wall, yellow and white ceiling.
I was trying to capture the chef who's making fresh hand-pulled noodles in the picture...Menu is presented in one laminated page (back to back). Of course, it mainly offer different kinds of noodles and dumplings :)
Dry Shanghai beef noodles. P105. Well, it's not really dry; rather, the noodle was not drowning in the soup. Beef is tender and the noodles were cooked al-dente.
The serving was actually big- it can be shared (good for 2) if/when you have small appetite.
Steamed Pork Dumplings. P55- 7 pieces pork dumplings with freshly made wraps. The dumplings are just ok.
Nice eat, especially when you live nearby the area. GO try it. :)
That's All!

Ay, sisiw sa akin yang mga nasa pics. Kaya kong ubusin lahat yan.
Masarap talaga yang "hand-pulled" noodles, kasi "fresh" pa! I used to eat that in OngPin back in my college days in the '80s.
I haven't had that kind of noodles for quite sometime and seeing them in the picture made me crave for some.
Thanks for your visit to my blog.
i love how aldente their noodles are
Yum! Good thing we have a similar kind of hand-pulled noodle restaurant a block away from us. :)
Yeah, I passed by this place last Sunday. It's good huh? Might go try it one time.
Have you tried Lanzhou Lamian from the Binondo area? Same concept, cheaper.
@philos: You read my mind pretty well. ;)
