"Last August a court ruling told Mininova had to remove all links to ‘infringing' torrent files.
Since it is technically unfeasible to pre-approve or filter every potentially infringing torrent file, the Mininova team decided to only allow torrents to be submitted by approved uploaders. This move resulted in the deletion of more than a million torrents, many of which were not infringing any copyrights at all."

the death of mininova had me conked out with my downloads esp of movies and ebooks... sad, but we sure have to deal with piracy with utmost concern for others who are shouting their lungs out to buy the original.
Anybody who has a copyright to any thing will cry "piracy" if they didn't get anything from any download. It all comes down to money!
