Kenny's roast & grill

Kenny's roast and grill is the newest resto in Powerplant mall; the 1st question I asked before dining was if it’s the same as Kenny Rogers’s roaster. Alas! It is but the concept is different.

The ambiance is classy, sophisticated and is very inviting that's why we were magnetized into eating there... Oh, also the thought of "fast food" was on our mind.

Anywoo, unlike other Kenny Rogers chain, you don't have to line up; a menu will be presented as soon as you sit. And the famous corn muffin is now being served as a freebies and is now flat and being called corn bread, it looks like this now:

I ordered for classic chicken platter (if I remember it correctly) est. @ P250, it consists of 1/4 chicken, herbed mashed potato and veggies. Oooopss, I apologize for not taking picture of our main course, we waited for more than 25 minutes for our food to arrive and we only got less than 20 minutes to eat our meal since we have to catch twilight. Well, basically the classic wood-fire roasted Kenny chicken taste exactly the same, the mashed potato taste much better because of the herbed mixture now and the veggies consist of two piece small asparagus, a sliced of tomato and slices of cucumber.

My verdict, the price is a little expensive, the waiting time is long, and the service is just ok. Shall I come back??? I guess not here, I'll go to Kenny Rogers’s roaster instead... In my opinion their old concept is much better.

Hello, i saw this branch din a couple of weeks ago pero I was hesitant to try it. Thanks to your review I'd rather spend my money on something more worthwhile. :) I guess it's a bad move for them no?

my co-workers and I had lunch there last Thursday Dec 11, not a very good experience it was. Prices had jacked up at least 50% and most of the stuff we got used to with the old Kenny Rogers is not there anymore. Add to that an impertinent waitress and a bit too much hardsell on the part of another waiter and our lunch was ruined. Definitely not impressed with the place.

You're the second blogger I read that expressed a bit of unhappiness about this particular branch. Both you and the other blogger vowed not to come back. The place must be awful then.

Hi. Thanks for this. Odd though because I actually had a pleasant experience here. Good food, too. I think they tried to make it more "high end". Andami nilang dinagdag sa menu. I just didn't enjoy the noise kasi may family akong katabi na magulo yung bata. Other than that, I like it. In fact, I've eaten there 5 times na.

Me too, in fact i like eating at Kenny Rockwell. It's actually NOT the same as their regular Kenny store. The only common thing in their menu is the Roast Chicken which is served differently. I wonder why they had to call it Kenny. You should try the thick-cut pork chop and the Angus Beef Burger. Masarap sha ha. In fairness, for the serving, sulit sha. siempre i wont compare to the regular Kenny kase iba na ang menu nya. I also love their interiors. Sosyal. Basta ako, favorite ko na sha. and I will go back there kase masarap and for the food they serve, sulit sha.

I visited Kenny's Roast and Grill at Rockwell during the holidays because i was intrigued with the new interiors. Classy. Since its called Kenny's, i expected the same Kenny Rogers menu. I was surprised to find U.S Choice Rib Eye Steak for only P700. I think thats the most expensive na sa menu nya pero masarap coz US rib eye talaga which u pay P1,000 for elsewhere. Their menu is ALL NEW except for one, Yung Roast Chicken plate. They have pa salmon. Overall, im happy with the experience and for sure i will go back. Downside tho is ang OA ng crew ha. Overly friendly. ayoko ng ganun! Yun lang!

Oh yeah, I've heard of that new kenny store in Rockwell from a friend from Nestle. He said the store is beautiful. Simple pero neat and classy. Anton Mendoza, a renowed interior designer, designed that store daw. Wow ha. sosyalen.

So I went there the other day to try it. Food was great and affordable at least relative to the type and portioning. In hotels they cost more pa eh....
