Yega Korean restaurant

Alas, Yega has an english name- I remembered wanting to blog about it when my cousins first introduced it to me back then, but didn't push through since there was only Korean name on written on it and I no read Korean.

Yega is an old-fashion Korean restaurant located in P. Burgos St. The setup is just simple, 4 tables with chair that can seat 4-6 pax each.
and 2-3 low tables with BBQ Korean griller with exhaust system on top. I've been here twice and saw Korean dining here or perhaps they just look like one...lolAnyway, 11 varieties of ban chan(appetizers/side dishes) were served as a compliment after placing our orders. Of course, the ever famous kimchi was presented in the middle.
These ban chan adequately filled our stomach plus these were refillable (upon request). Well, they don't serve same varieties of ban chan everytime, it may be dependent on their trip ;p.

Galbi Tang. P250
It was served steamy hot with fair amount of Galbi ,but the taste was a little bland or maybe we were expecting a taste like our local nilagang baka (beef stew soup).
So Galbi. P350
Korean beef bbq cut into thins strips. The taste was balance of sweet and savory flavors which I liked.
Galbi Jim. P250
Well the dish is not part of their regular menu but the said we could order that...
I normally order galbi jim in a Korean resto, and expected a soupy beef stew, but their version isn’t soupy, rather their version had minimal sauce/moist. While their version was also tasty and meat tender, I still prefer the spicy soupy one. That's the end of our(together with Arvic, Cza & Roly) Kalbi Korean food trip. Oh, they also serve different kind of dish from chicken, veggies and fish , it so happened that we were enticed by kalbi. ☺

Note that the dish except the soup served inclusive of rice. Also you can cook your own Korean BBQ with a minimum purchase of 2 BBQ(meat) order.

That's All!
