Gulliver's of San Francisco, Makati Ave.

I always love prime ribs.  Gulliver's is one of the most raved about steak restaurant in metro -finally got to seat...

Gulliver's of San Francisco is also here in Metro Manila, it is theme restaurant that is well known for its prime ribs.  Server are dressed in a wench costumes, are attentive and courteous; The ambiance is quaint, it offers an  old English tavern setting- dark wood, wooden furniture and super dimmed lights.  Having said that please forgive my photos since the place is really dark like there's  brown out ;)

Freebies: Hot and doughy bread with butter on the side.

French onion soup is one of my comfort food- hmmm…. I think that there's something missing in their version, was it thyme? Or some sort of herbs. The soup was just ok nothing to rave about.

The Prime rib (Gulliver’s cut).P890- comes with Yorkshire pudding,  spinach souffle, baked potato and the yummy-licious cream corn. The steak comes medium rare, just the way I like it; The meat sauce was added to the flavourful experience was poured upon served.  Well, it was 'not melt in your mouth' slabs but it was tender and juicy and quite satisfying.

Verdict: Not really the best prime ribs I've tasted but will surely come back here :)

That's All!

I liked the French onion soup from Apartment 1B. I'm missing a lot of food spots in Metro Manila. Sigh.

Garandee and I were in Gulliver's last week! She thought the costumes were cute too. I told her I prefer French Maids... and I got punched. ouch.

But yeah, prime rib was good. Not the best, but good enough. I didn't like the texture though.

Thanks for visiting my blog! :)

I was just reviewing the Gullivers web site. I am currently fifty 70 kilometers south of San Francisco, and never knew that restaurant existed. Open they did the year I was born ... The food looks exquisite!~
