Snake in toilet

I was petrified to see this in my mail and would like to share it to my dear readers:

A toilet bowl...
There's a snake in the bowl....
look closely... Scaryyyyy

I didn't believed it at first so I googled it - Well, sad to say that it's true, there were several toilet bowl snake attacks occurrence.

So people make it a habit to check the bowl before you sit.

Wok Inn Restaurant

I was strolling with friends in Malate area in search for some antique goodies, when "good-food" memories of Wok Inn restaurant slides in; It was almost dinner time so I suggest that we eat there, not really sure if it offer the same quality.

Wok Inn is a small and old restaurant situated right beside Malate church, it offers "open kitchen" style dining; No menu is being offered, you go in front of the counter and choose the ingredient (meat/seafood/veggies) and ask them to cook the way you want it.

Stuffed squid- Squid stuffed with veggies (Spinach) - Their stuffed squid is one of the best tasting squid I've tried, the squid was cooked well, not gummy and the sauce is amazingly delicious.

These string beans with garlic looks a bit of over-cooked, but it taste good as well.

We also tried their fried dumplings and mixed vegetables and hot and sour soup- I'm not sure if it’s all about the MSG but so far everything I've tried here are incredibly tasty.

Well, service is not so good here, but food is served fast and hot, while the price is affordable, prolly cost P100-P200 /meal.

That's All!

Aveneto Pizzeria Ristorante

Aveneto is a casual Italian restaurant that has several branches round Metro Manila, It is a twin of Napoli Pizzeria
The place is ideal for group dining, since their servings are always good enough to share.

Their Pizza is tasty, crust is just medium crust, not chewy but is ok; it comes on different sizes 10" (price ranging from P180 to 250), 14"(P250-350),16"(350-450)... plus when/if you are a loner(don't get me wrong), you can grab a slice from P65-P80.

I personally like their nut-pesto with chicken pasta (P195); Anyway the picture below is not a nut-pesto but a baked Ziti w/ Hungarian Sausage (P235) which I found a little junkie, maybe it was the taste of their Hungarian sausage that I didn't like, but...

Ooohh... I so lurve their cream of tomato soup(P100), but I don't think everyone will like it - very thick like a tomato sauce plus it's not friendly for people with seafood (shrimp in particular) allergies.

Living, learning and loving...

Life is catching up with me pretty quickly; I've been stuck with a lot of things recently and had no time to write reviews or what so ever.

So here's a post to remind everyone that even if the humidity is slowly draining me, I'm still thankfully living, continuously learning and blissfully loving.

Smile… life is beautiful!

... Will update soon, don't miss me much :)

CNT Lechon - Cebu

It was our 1st day in Cebu,
had an super early checked in at Shargri-la Mactan(6am),
and since we're lucky to have a driver for lunch (Thanks tito Jerry)...

Off we went to SM Cebu-- Nope, we were not there to shop but rather searching for the most raved about Cebu lechon. OK, fine we did a little shopping...

CNT lechon has a stall inside SM near their super market and a branch right across SM... hand in hand, we opt to cross the street.

The restaurant has a nipa hut setting:

Inside- it look like a big local eatery (carinderia); with wooden chairs and tables. Self service- so you have to queue up and pay as you order.

CNT offers Filipino varieties such as tinola and nilaga but their specialty is cebu lechon(roasted pig). Skin is crunchy, the pork meat is cooked to perfection... it is so good, tender, juicy and super tasty that you will not need to put sauce on it. 1/4kg is at P96 , I think (Feel free to correct if I'm wrong)

The taste itself will make you eat a whole pig... lol!
Definitely one of Cebu's best!

That's all!
